Superset & Powerset

What's difference between superset and powerset?

This question struck me today when I returning the grading result to Dr. Johnstone. It started when I mentioned superset instead of powerset and Dr. Johnstone doubted my undestanding of these two defintion. Surely, I coudn't answer clearly to satisfy his expectation and he started talking the necessity of speaking or presentation practice to talk or explain one's ideas to another. Especially, it is quite important factor to graduate students for their successful career development. I totally agreeed to his opinion. His comments were really good for me.

Not do my best. Do practice hard.

Superset
A set S is a superset of another set of T if every elements of T is in S and S may have elements which are not in T.

Powerset
A set P is a powerset of another set of S when the set of all subset S is in P with empty set or null set.
